Overview
MindSense is a wellness and self-reflection app built around State Compass, breathing practices, AI-guided reflection, journal-style entries, optional community features, history, patterns, and recommendations.
MindSense is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or mental health condition. It does not replace professional medical, psychological, or emergency care.
Data we may collect
- Account identifiers and profile data, such as email address, authentication provider identifiers, display name, language, region, consent choices, and account settings.
- Usage data and diagnostics, such as app version, device model, operating system, feature usage, session events, crash logs, performance data, and analytics events.
- User-provided content, such as AI conversations, journal entries, self-reflection answers, support messages, community posts, comments, and reports.
- Purchase-related information, such as token balance, credits, subscriptions, purchase status, receipt identifiers, billing platform, and fraud-prevention signals where applicable.
- Camera-derived, microphone-derived, voice-to-text, sensor-related, or self-reported state signals only when the user chooses a feature that requires them and grants the relevant permission.
- Notification tokens and communication preferences when users enable reminders, practice prompts, updates, or support communications.
Permissions and sensitive features
Camera and microphone access are used only when the user chooses features that require them, such as scan, voice, audio, or AI-guided features. Users can allow, deny, or revoke permissions through device settings.
- Camera: supports optional scan and visual state-signal features.
- Microphone: supports optional voice input, audio interaction, or voice-related features.
- Notifications: supports reminders, practice prompts, account notices, and app updates if enabled.
- Analytics identifiers and diagnostics: support app reliability, measurement, abuse prevention, and product improvement where allowed by law and device settings.
AI and backend processing
AI conversation and recommendation features may send user-provided text, voice-derived text, state summaries, journal entries, community context, app context, and relevant history to backend services or AI providers so MindSense can generate responses.
AI responses can be incomplete, incorrect, or inappropriate. They are wellness support only and are not professional medical, psychological, legal, financial, or emergency advice.
Service providers and sharing
MindSense may use third-party service providers to operate the app, including Firebase and other Google services, authentication providers, cloud hosting and storage, AI providers, analytics, crash reporting, notifications, fraud-prevention tools, Google Play Billing, and Apple In-App Purchase where applicable.
Service providers process data for app operation, security, support, purchases, analytics, compliance, and improvement. MindSense does not sell personal information. Data may be disclosed if required by law, to protect users or the service, or during a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
